Incidentally, this coy circling around of the genocidal Fatah logo can also be found on the website of the willy brandt center, on the 'about us'page. All the nice, sunny logos of meretz, young labor, young spd etc appear in little boxes. a similar looking fatah box also appears. it is a reduced, covered up version of the fatah logo, making the guns and the islamic-painted Western Land of Israel invisible. Guilty consciences, or just cynical manipulation?

Check it out here:http://www.willybrandtcenter.org

Why does "understanding terrorist organizations" seem to mean "completely misunderstanding them, including their public statements?"

I had the pleasure to accompany Rolf on his journey to Israel. I also met the terrorist-friendly socialist appatchik who handed out the leaflets which tried to conceal Fatah's political intent, which still is the destruction of Israel. The apparatchik kept talking about "Islamophobia" and Israel's evil actions all day long. After I a short while, I became tired of his sermons and confronted him on serveral points. He kept on denying the obvious: Fatah and the Islamists want to destroy Israel first and the rest of the West aferwards. The apparatchik, who works for the Brussels-based European Youth Forum, was a perfect Dhimmi. I'm afraid that his new masters will have no use for him after they have seized power: He proclaimed to be an atheist, and Islamists have only two options open for people like him: death or conversion to Islam.

Bon(n) Jour!

More than twenty years ago I contemplated applying for a PhD scholarship from the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. That was long before the pest of "political correctness" entered public awareness and discourse and at that time I was a member of the Socialdemocratic party. I got the forms to fill in for the application and was so disgusted by the intrusive (and silly, really, I mean there was and is no way to verify purely lip-servicing avowals of being a "good soul" -- "good" in the meaning of the FES, of course) questions that I disposed the stuff to where I thought it belonged -- the dustbin.

That all this would one day be part of a greater political context and not just a personal nuisance was, at least for me, unthinkable at that time.

Goodness! Another one of those masturbatory, inane, hypocritical German projects gone bust, which are supposedly undertaken for the sake of improving "the Jewish-German relationship", but whose only real purpose is to make the Germans feel good and noble.

Hand me down my sick-bag please!

The Editrix ("non-Jewish German" - the latest euphemism for "Aryan")

"Might it be that this does not really fit the 'ideas of the civic peace service?'" - Obviously it does, at least in the opinion (not only) of the young social democrats. Following the so called "critical dialogue" of the German government, understanding terrorist organizations (instead of enforcing regime changes) seems to be the way to cope with them. Not too long ago, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (an important social democratic foundation) had intensive talks with Hizb'allah in Beirut - so what can we expect? These social democrats (like most of the people in Europe) think suicide attacks are an expression of desperation while they are of the opinion that Israel is the biggest threat for the peace in the world. THEIR call for peace is a declaration of war against Israel!
